Q: Where is the Whitworth U-District located?

We are located in the Riverfront Office Park building at 534 E. Spokane Falls Blvd., Suite 100, with plenty of free parking. Click here for a map.

Q: Why are you offering classes in the U-District?

The time is right for Whitworth to provide Spokane-area residents with greater access to our convenient, six-week, accelerated-format evening classes. We know that working adults need educational opportunities that take into consideration their busy lives; our hope is that people will take advantage of the opportunity to attend classes closer to where they live and/or work.

Q: Will I be able to meet with an advisor downtown?

Yes – when it's most convenient for you; after-work and early evening hours are available. Please call 509.777.3222 for an appointment.

Q: What classes are offered downtown?

We offer all classes needed for a bachelor's degree; four options are available.

Q: Which degrees are available in the U-District?

Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management; Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree with majors in: Social Services or Program Management; Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree with the "Upside-Down" option for community college A.A.S. degree holders.

Q: Will I be able to take all classes needed for my degree downtown?

Yes. All classes for the organizational management and liberal studies degree programs will be offered downtown. Your Whitworth academic advisor will work carefully with you to schedule your classes for timely completion of your degree.

Q: Are all Whitworth evening program classes moving to the U-District?

No. Students who prefer to attend classes at the Whitworth University campus will still be able to do so. All evening students will be able to take classes at either campus, whichever is most convenient. The only exception to attending both campus and downtown classes is that students in the organizational management cohort classes must take all the classes in their major at one location.

Q: When do classes begin?

New classes start every six weeks.

Q: Do I have to wait for the beginning of a semester to begin classes?

No. Students can start taking classes at the beginning of any six-week session.

Q: Does tuition include books at the downtown location as well?

Yes. The books for each class will be delivered to you, free of charge, your first night of class.

Q: What are your downtown office hours?

Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 6:00; additional hours are available by appointment.

Q: Can I take classes during the day in the U District?

No, the U-District location will offer classes only in our accelerated-evening format, specifically designed for working adults age 25 and older. For information about our traditional day program, please contact Whitworth’s admissions office at 509.777.4786.
