The Whitworth Educational Certification and Career Services Office manages and stores placement files for Whitworth graduates and current students.
Before the begin student teaching, candidates will complete forms that will serve as part of the student-teaching application. These forms will then be refined to become part of the placement file after the student-teaching experience. The placement file is one of the most important tools that districts use in determining which candidates to contact for interviews.
Your Whitworth placement file consists of current certificates, candidate-created placement-file documents, letters of recommendation, and Washington State Personnel Association (WSPA) forms.
Transcripts, résumés, and cover letters are NOT included in the placement file.
A $5 fee is charged for each placement file mailing/fax.
Please provide the name of the district, the district address if it is outside of the state of Washington, Oregon or Idaho, and the contact person in the human-resources office if possible. If you're requesting a fax as well as a mailing, please provide a fax number. Every attempt will be made to send your placement file within one working day of receipt of your request.
