Lisa is a new faculty member in the School of Education at Whitworth
University. She completed her Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction from Northern
Arizona University in Flagstaff in 2003. She also holds a master's
degree in both English and educational psychology with an emphasis in
school counseling.
She completed her B.A. in English and French from the University of
Redlands in Southern California. Prior to joining the Whitworth faculty,
Lisa was an adjunct faculty member at Northern Arizona University for
three and a half years. She has over ten years experience as a teacher
at the elementary, middle and high school levels, as well as school
counseling experience at the elementary and middle school levels.
Lisa's doctoral work focused on early literacy acquisition and
she is teaching diagnosis and intervention of reading disabilities along
with elementary instructional methods and social studies at Whitworth. Additional activities include co-chairing the Whitworth Writing
Rally and sitting on the Advisory Board of Success by Six.
