M.Ed. Administrative Leadership
Why Whitworth? Why now?
I attended Whitworth to obtain my bachelor's degree, Certification in Lay Ministry and M.A. in Theology. I am very familiar and comfortable with Whitworth University. I know that I am receiving a high-quality education that many universities cannot offer, and I enjoy many facets of attending Whitworth: Classes are offered in the evenings and weekends, which makes it easier to attend without interfering in the daytime necessities of life; attending with peers the same age, with some of the same interests, makes school more enjoyable; instructors challenge you to be creative, open, and free to express yourself; and I love "out of the box" teaching and solution styles, as well as the ability to apply what I am learning in a practical everyday manner.
We'd be surprised to know...
That I am in a video, "Transitions: An Exploration of Vocation and Calling," that Whitworth University produced. I share my life testimony of overcoming addiction, jail, and struggles. Determined to have a life of sobriety, I have come to appreciate the saving grace of Yeshua, Jesus Christ, and I am so thankful for being given the opportunities to turn my life around and to receive a high-quality education.
Advice for other adults considering Whitworth's evening graduate school
If I can do it, so can you. The first thing that it takes is realizing that your life will not change until you make an effort to change, by daring to imagine and visualize the future. From there, take the first step: Just walk through the campus of Whitworth University, or visit a class or two. Take the time to feel the excitement of a university that cares about you. I know that once you are on campus, you will not leave empty-hearted.
