The Center for Gifted Education offers a variety
of courses in diverse areas such as:

In addition to offering many courses, both on
and off campus, the founder of the Center for Gifted Education, Margo
Long, provides a variety of consulting services.

Long, Director of the Center for Gifted Education & Professional Development
Margo
Long, founder and director of the Center for Gifted Education & Professional
Development, is an Associate Professor of Education and supervisor of
secondary-level education students for the School of Education at Whitworth
University. She specializes in teaching creative problem solving, communication,
learning styles and issues of gifted education. As a consultant in the
Pacific Northwest, Margo actively serves the teaching and health professions,
as well as the business sector. Her provocative and enthusiastic presentation
style is challenging as well as practical for participants. Some of Margo's
recent classes and presentations include emotional intelligence, strategies
for teaching bright children in the regular classroom, dealing productively
with changes and choices, time/stress management, coping with the future.
