Two MIT Graduates Selected to Participate in Engineering Training Program at WSU
Washington State University, with funding from the National Science Foundation, will host an engineering training program for in-service and pre-service teachers this summer. The WSU/NSF Summer at WSU Engineering Experiences for Teachers (SWEET) provides hands-on engineering training to familiarize science teachers with engineering processes, which they then can carry into their classrooms. Jon Grotz and Jason Hunter, both Whitworth Master in Teaching Candidates for the class of 2009, have been selected to fill two of the four slots reserved each year for pre-service teacher candidates. The session will begin in late June and last for six weeks.
