The School of Education offers programs for the preparation of teachers,
counselors (school and agency) and administrators (school and non-school).
There are also master's degree programs for the advanced preparation of
teachers in the areas of elementary education, secondary education, special
education, and gifted and talented education. All programs that prepare
educators have been approved by the Washington State Board of Education
and accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and
the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
The School of Education also offers an undergraduate
minor in Leadership Studies that is available to students with majors
in other disciplines.
