Areas of Specialization: Archival work; public history; reference librarianship Publications, Presentations, Honors: Publications include articles on the "More Product, Less Process" method of archival processing, for Archival Outlook and Easy Access; articles on aspects of Whitworth University history for Nostalgia Magazine; an article for Alki: the Washington Library Association Journal regarding oral history; and the contribution of vignettes to the website TheBlackPast.org. Presentations include a workshop on archival processing methods at the Northwest Archivists' annual meeting; papers on the subject of religion in the Pacific Northwest, for the PNW American Academy of Religion annual meetings; a paper on the same topic at the Association for African American Historical Records Preservation; and two papers regarding access to primary sources in the Northwest, to the American Historical Association annual meeting and the PNW History Conference. Grants received and administered include three from the National Endowment for the Humanities; two from the National Historical Records and Periodicals Commission; three from the Washington State Library; and two from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. These grants have been used to increase access to primary source materials in the Whitworth University Archives. Courses Taught:
