Internships & Projects
An internship or a project is a core requirement
for completion of the MIM degree program. Throughout the MIM program,
each student will meet periodically with the Internship/Project Director,
Bonnie Wakefield, to explore student career goals and the best opportunities
to experience career paths as part of this requirement. Resume writing,
interviewing skills, and dress/protocol workshops are available on campus
to assist the student in preparation for application to local, regional,
and international internships and projects. The internship office, the
faculty advisor, and the student will work together to seek opportunities
for the best experience possible.
The MIM internship or project is a key
component taken towards the end of the program allowing the student to
apply the 15 months of academic work to a practical international business
and management experience. A minimum of 100 hours or more must be spent
on the internship or project while working with the company or service
provider. Please read the internship/project handout for more information.
