Whitworth to Host ACM Programming Contest on April 30When: April 30, 2005 -- Registration at 10:30 a.m., official contest will start as close as possible to noon.
Where: Lindaman Center Room 201 (Click here to view campus map) .
How Long: Five-hour contest, snacks will be provided, pizza afterwards.
Who is Invited: Local programming teams both lower division and upper division (students who have had data structures) -- as long as we have room -- teams will be accepted on a first-reserved by e-mail, first-serve basis.
Environment: Students can use Java, C, or C++. The Eclipse IDE (www.eclipse.org) will be provided. The working environment is Linux. This is what was used at the regional contest. The latest JDK and its associated documentation will be used (1.5.0). STL documentation for C++ will be included as part of the environment. ViM and EMACS will be available as editors.
