Facilities

The Whitworth Mathematics & Computer Science Department has two separate computer labs: a teaching lab and a research lab. The teaching lab includes 25 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 computers with wide-screen LCD monitors running in true 64-bit environments. Each of the stations is ergonomically designed.

The research lab currently includes ten 2.0 GHz Dell computers with 17-inch LCD monitors, eight Sun Microsystem Sparcs, and six 1.8 GHz Microns, all on a high-speed switch and all at workstations with ergonomically designed chairs and tables.
