Personal Page: Ben Brody
Benjamin Brody holds degrees in choral conducting from Whitworth University
(B.A.) and University of Washington (M.M. and D.M.A.). He studied at the U.W. with Abraham Kaplan and Geoffrey Boers. At Whitworth, Brody teaches
and directs internships in the Certificate in Church Music
Program and coordinates music for campus worship services.
Prior to joining the Whitworth faculty, Brody was director of worship
and music at First Presbyterian Church of Seattle, where he conducted the
chancel choir, bell choir and worship ensembles; he also coordinated the church's
annual concert series. He is active throughout the Northwest as
a clinician in worship and church music, and he currently serves as
repertoire and standards chair for sacred music on the board of the Washington
American Choral Directors Association.
