Coursework

Students interested in applying to the Whitworth Music Ministry Program must be working toward a bachelor's degree in music. In addition, the following coursework is required:

• History and Theology of Worship (3 credits)
• Church Music Techniques and Resources
  (3 credits)
• Advanced Conducting (2 credits)
• Choral Techniques (3 credits)
• One course selected from the following:
  (2 credits)
  • Private Organ Lessons (two semesters)
  • Choral Literature
  • Music Methods in the Elementary School
  • Jazz and Contemporary Methods
• Introduction to the Christian Faith (3 credits)
• Christian Spirituality (3 credits)
• Internship in Ministry (3 credits)
