Financial Aid

Scholarships available through Whitworth:

  • Stanton Student Travel Fund
    History/political studies department study programs, Core 250, or study programs in which a faculty member from the history/political studies department is participating. Must be full-time student with declared major in history or political studies, demonstrate financial need, and have not received the award in prior years. The amount of the scholarship will vary.

    Application process: Contact history or political science department.

  • Pierrette Christianne Lovrien French Study Program
    Awarded every three years when there is a Whitworth France Study Program. 2.75 or better cumulative GPA. Financial need will be considered, but not required.

    Application process: Complete the application available from the modern languages department; submit a written recommendation form a faculty member not associated with the France study program.

  • Bruce Sweatt Memorial Scholarship
    This scholarship is funded on a yearly basis, so will be dependent upon funding availability each year. Available to students studying on the Whitworth France Study Program, and/or students studying in French-speaking countries.
