Tahlia We had class by a hidious sculpture/shrine type of thing in Hyde ark. I think it was built during the Victorian Era and it is gold and gaudy, but one member of our group says gaudy is back in. I don't know about gaudy, but the mullet sure is, and the tail too. Everyone who is anyone in London has one. One of my favorite museums here was the Tate Britain. Scott walked through with a group of us to help us understand the art. One thing that I have learned on this trip is the importance of knowing the story behind things, anything really. If you understand the narrative behind why something exists and why it is the way it is, you get this wonderful mixed feeling of understanding and awe. Listening to tour guides, Scott, Keith, and even other students reveal the stories behind the remains of an abby, or basketballs suspended in a fish tank, is enlightening. Also, English history is much more entertaining than ours. Who doesn't want to learn about Henry VIII, Bloody Mary, or some guy who calls a rotting cow head art?
