The Central American Study Program is a semester-long program that encompasses politics, theology, economics, sociology and the Spanish language. The program begins in Guatemala, moves to Honduras, and then proceeds to Costa Rica and Nicaragua, ending in El Salvador. The trip is based upon experiential learning, meaning that throughout the students’ time in Central America they are holistically integrating their course topics in their daily activities. The trip is designed to provide students with an opportunity to develop themselves as global citizens and as local community leaders.
