This online travelogue offers student reflections and photographs of the France Study Program, one of Whitworth's innovative, interdisciplinary, semester-long off-campus study programs. Led by a team of professors from our departments of modern languages, communication studies, and art, students are exploring French language and culture, cross-cultural communication, and French art from the 19th century forward. Throughout their travels to Saverne, Strasbourg, Paris, Caen, and Nice, students are studying contemporary French culture, engaging in intercultural and interfaith dialogue, and acting as participant-observers in home stays, cultural interactions, and art history and production.  Several times a week, students are submitting to this online travelogue images and insights from their discoveries about both French culture and themselves.
