Annemarie

April 27, 2007

Our second week in Paris with Gordon Wilson went by quickly. We visited everything from the Pompidou Center to the Louvre. It was a lot of art for one week, but totally worth it. Throughout the week I think all of the students have improved as artists. We have also learned so much about the elements and design principles of art.

One of our assignments was to go to the largest flea market in the world, located in Paris. We had to pick out an object to present to the class and explain why the object should be considered art. The market was a great place to visit and the presentations turned out to be absolutely hilarious.

My favorite part about my time in Paris was running with some of my friends along the Seine almost every morning as the sun was rising. We also experienced beautiful weather, which made our last two weeks in Paris even more enjoyable.
