This was our first week in Paris. What an amazing city! Our group has been exploring the ins and outs of the city – including the rather complicated Metro system, discovering our favorite streets, shops, and restaurants, and trying to improve our Frenc-speaking ability when interacting with the local people.

We have also been enjoying the beautiful sights of Paris: the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Jewish Quarter, and Notre Dame Cathedral, to name a few. We all bravely took the elevator up the Eiffel Tower on Monday afternoon and saw a fantastic view of the entire city.

The pictures included are of the Arc de Triomphe, which we were able to get to the top of after climbing more than 200 steps! After climbing all those stairs, we had another lovely view of Paris overlooking the Champs-Elysées and all the Parisian traffic!

The other picture was taken in the building where we have class every morning. We have all enjoyed learning about intercultural communication, and it has been great fun having Professor Mike Ingram and his family with us.
