These are the journeys and reflections of 17 students, one TA, and four instructors as we travel to Mississippi to take part in community relief and reconstruction efforts.  Throughout our trip we hope to learn more about the culture of the Gulf Coast and its art, people, and concerns.  We will work side by side with community members and volunteers in Gulfport, Miss., to rebuild what the hurricane destroyed and in Jackson, Miss. to revitalize a community in need.  We hope the trip will leave its mark on those we help and also on ourselves.
