Gulf Coast Study Program Travelogue: Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006

Lorin
Monday and Tuesday were our groups debriefing days. We were able to come together at the Hearth and share some of our thoughts and feelings about being back on campus. For many of us, it has been hard sharing our stories and experiences with others. We cannot quite express our feelings verbally. I know we all worked very hard Monday night on our psychology papers, art projects and for some of us finishing up our journals.

Tuesday morning we all gathered together to share our journals and artwork. We also shared our pictures, which brought back many memories from the devastation down there. Gordon showed the video footage he took down there of some of the destruction, houses we roofed, a dance party, and other goofy moments on the trip. Krem 2 News and KHQ News came by and interviewed a few students, as well as The Spokesman Review. It was a good time for reflection and sharing.
