Hawaii Science Aloha from Hawai’i!! We have had quite an exciting time here so far experiencing Gods beautiful creations on this island. Over the last few days we have visited Hawai’i’s Volcano national park. Here we talked to geologists and got to learn about the latest technology in the geographic study of volcanoes. We then were able to see just how massive these volcanoes are by hiking into the craters and getting a closer look at what exactly is inside. In addition to lectures on geology itself we also have the privilege of having a native of Hawai’i on the tour. Kaleo has provided us with cultural insights so we can better understand Hawai’i on a deeper level. JER & Steam
The entire trip has proven to be a great success and provided each person on the program with great memories already. A few of us have decided to make morning snorkeling adventures a regular activity along with night time excursions to the beach and hot ponds near by. We will continue to enjoy and investigate all that this beautiful warm island has to offer us. God Bless from Hawai’i,
