"[This morning] I visited San Giovanni in Laterno, the Holy Stairs, and Santa Maria Maggiore. At night I visited the Trevi Fountain. Initial impressions were a feeling of awe and amazement at the sheer size and holiness experienced. I was surprised how the frescoes really came out of the wall. I was also surprised by the sacredness I experienced at these places. I prayed in San Giovanni and got on my knees and crawled up the Holy Stairs. For some reason, the Lord's Prayer came into my head so I focused on it. I didn't expect to feel so moved.

"I went with three girls to the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain, and only got lost once. I am amazed by the rich history that this city holds. I can't imagine walking where people have over 2,000 years ago. Still hard to believe I'm here! It is all so beautiful."
