Whitworth University Psychology Department

Student ProfilesIf there is to be any measure of wisdom in our impact upon the world, we must understand its tenants: people. We must, with integrity and sensitivity, examine our own responses to our environment and explore how we, in turn, affect those around us as we seek to bring healing and hope to the world.

The Whitworth Psychology Department offers a solid foundation in the investigation and understanding of human behavior, cognition, and emotion. Students will use their knowledge as they design their own research projects, work as teaching or research assistants and join discussions about integration of psychology and faith. Each student gains experience in a practicum placement of his or her choice. All students have the opportunity to grow in competence and to enjoy camaraderie with both faculty and students.

Psychology, Whitworth style, builds skills to last far beyond graduation.
