Boppell Dean of the Whitworth University School of Global Commerce & ManagementTimothy Wilkinson, Ph.D., brings nearly 20 years of experience in business education and administration to his position at Whitworth. He served as interim dean at the College of Business at Montana State University, Billings, where he was also a professor of marketing and director of MSUB's Center for Business Enterprise. Previously, Wilkinson was associate director of the Institute for Global Business at the University of Akron and assistant professor of public policy and administration at Boise State University. Wilkinson has published 35 research papers and seven books or edited volumes. In addition, his articles written for business people have appeared in publications such as MIT Sloan Management Review, Business Horizons, and The Wall Street Journal. His book The Distribution Trap, co-authored with Andrew R. Thomas, recently won the Berry-AMA Prize for the best book in marketing. Wilkinson will oversee faculty and staff serving nearly 400 students in traditional undergraduate programs in accounting, economics, business management, international business and marketing; in a nontraditional program in organizational management primarily serving working adults; and in master's degree programs in business administration and international management. |
