Whitworth Seniors Creating Marketing Plans for New Armed Forces and Aerospace Museum

Eleven students in Whitworth's Marketing Planning and Implementation class are generating plans for Spokane's new Armed Forces & Aerospace Museum for their senior marketing capstone project.

"Whitworth's senior marketing majors are using the marketing expertise they have been accumulating for several years from a wide range of sources including classes, guest speakers, internships, and other marketing class projects with local businesses," says Brad Sago, Whitworth professor of marketing. "Opportunities like this allow students to use what they have been learning beyond doing a project for a grade. This is a real-world business experience that assists the greater Spokane area and the Inland Northwest."

The students have been divided into teams of three to develop plans, which they will present to the museum board of directors on May 15, 2008. The directors will judge which plan, strategies and tactics are best tailored to fit the needs of the future museum. For more information on the upcoming Armed Forces & Aerospace Museum, please visit
