Admissions
Thank you for your interest in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree Program at Whitworth University. Making the decision to enter graduate school requires good information and planning. Our MBA program follows a rolling admission policy with select start dates throughout the academic year. As admission is competitive, students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Admission requirements
In order to be considered for admission into Whitworth's MBA program, you are asked to submit the following:
- a completed application form
- official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended
- two recommendation forms from people familiar with your academic and/or professional performance
- a one-page typed essay stating your purpose for entering the MBA/MIM program
- official GMAT score report or GRE score report

For admission into the MBA program, the university generally requires an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher and a minimum GMAT score of 500 or GRE of 970. Additional consideration is given for 3+ years of work experience.
Prerequisites: In order to ensure your preparedness for the academic demands of an MBA program, you are asked to show proof of having taken introductory courses in the following disciplines:
- accounting
- finance
- marketing
- economics
- statistics
Applicants with extensive knowledge or experience in a discipline may petition to have related prerequisite requirements waived.
Because admission for Whitworth's MBA is a competitive process, those who meet the basic requirements stated above are not guaranteed acceptance into the program.
