Alumni Achievements
Here's what some recent Whitworth graduates are doing with their theology & philosophy degrees:

Evan Cate, '08, received a Duke Scholarship to pursue a master's in divinity degree at the university's School of Divinity. The scholarship covers full tuition and is awarded to entering students based on academic achievement and exceptional promise for ordained or diaconal ministry.

David Sittser, '07, received a full-tuition Divinity Fellowship to pursue a master's degree in New Testament at the Duke University School of Divinity.
- Mark Schuldt, Jennifer Daley and Matt Halldorson, all '07, are attending Princeton Theological Seminary.
- Matt Lincicum, '05 (theology and physics double major), earned a master's degree in engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and entered Harvard Law School in fall 2007.
- Charlie Shepherd, '05, taught for a year in a theological seminary in Cameroon, West Africa; he is currently enrolled in a master's program in theology at the University of Durham, United Kingdom.
- Chris Atwood, '03, earned an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and has completed a year of New Testament study in systematic theology at the University of Tübingen, in Germany. Atwood was recently accepted to Wheaton College's Ph.D. program in the New Testament.
- Dana Caraway, '02, is completing her final year at Princeton Theological Seminary, in Princeton, N.J.
- J.P. Carlson, '02, earned an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and is an associate pastor at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, in Lincoln, Neb.
- David Lincicum, '01, is enrolled in a Ph.D. program in New Testament at St. Andrew's University, in Scotland.
- Matt Lockard, '00, earned a master's degree in philosophy at U.C.L.A. in 2004. He is currently completing his doctoral dissertation there, and and is serving as a teaching assistant for philosophy courses.
- John Rasmussen, '97, is a case manager for Youth Guidance Association
at Son Village, a private, nonprofit Christian residential center
that seeks to rehabilitate members of Oregon's juvenile offender
population.
- Amy Nelson, '96, is youth director for the Presbyterian Church
of Los Gatos, N.J.
- Jae Gil, '94, is pastor and director of education for First
Korean United Methodist Church in New Jersey.
- Renee Williams, '86, is an instructor of biblical languages
for Fuller Theological Seminary in Seattle.
- Timothy Loney, '85, is a chaplain with the U.S. Navy.
