Howard Redmond(1957-90) Professor Emeritus of Theology In a way, I wish I could write of giving frequent sermons and Bible studies as I've done in the past. Though I still do some of that, the Lord has opened new doors and I'm delighted! My ministry has become largely musical in nature, averaging about one piano concert a week. I describe my work as Beethoven to Gershwin, and whenever possible I work in some good hymn arrangements. I'm especially fond of Beethoven, and I have developed what I call Beethoven "miniatures," in which I play the main themes of the nine symphonies. They range from about 5 to 7 minutes. I may try the same thing with Mozart, Haydn, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Gershwin.
