Jeremy Wynne, '99 (2010-present) Lecturer in Theology

It's been a pleasure in my biblical literature courses to teach so many students from across the university. I'm grateful for their various perspectives, honest questions and enthusiasm. In addition to teaching, I've had several opportunities this year to participate in the broader life of the university. Among the highlights, I gave the devotional at the December's Staff Development program and presented on the topic of God's patience at a Faculty Scholarship Forum.

I have continued that scholarly work this summer in the form of a new essay and a couple of book reviews. I will also begin in earnest to prepare a new course on the theology of John's Gospel. (As I write, Dale Bruner's massive and rich commentary sits on my desk – hot off the press and waiting to be devoured.)

Finally, my wife, Betsy, has been hired as the associate pastor for congregational care at First Presbyterian Church of Spokane. We're excited about this transition. It's a great position at a wonderful church. This change also means that our kids Hannah (5) and Asher (4) will be attending the church's Christian school in the fall. They are absolutely itching to start!
To friends far and wide, best wishes for the year to come.
