About the Program: Team Members

Dale Soden, Project Co-Director

Dr. Soden has been at the college since 1985; he currently teaches in the Department of Politics and History and directs the Weyerhaeuser Center for Christian Faith and Learning. Additionally, he serves on the President's Cabinet as special assistant to the president for strategic planning. His scholarly interests have focused on religion in the Pacific Northwest.

Terry McGonigal, Project Co-Director

Rev. Dr. Terry McGonigal has served as Dean of the Chapel for the past seven years. Dr. McGonigal teaches in the Department of Religion and Philosophy and also serves on the President's Cabinet. He earned his Ph.D. and Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, and his scholarly interests focus on Biblical Studies and Christian Spirituality.

Reverend Tim Dolan, Assistant Director for the Institute of Clergy and Lay Leadership:

Reverend Dolan has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church for 16 years and recently received a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University. He has served as assistant director of the Institute for Clergy and Lay Leadership in the Weyerhaeuser Center for Christian Faith and Learning at Whitworth since 1999.

Andrea Saccoccio, Associate Chaplain

Andrea Saccocio comes to Whitworth via Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in California. Previously, she worked with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and with development and support of multi-ethnic ministries in New England. Andrea earned her Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and specializes in leadership development and women in church history and theology.

Michelle Seefried, Program Coordinator, Weyerhaeuser Center for Christian Faith and Learning

Michelle Seefried has been at the college since 1994. After completing three years of service in various roles on the Support Staff Executive Committee, Michelle now holds the title of Program Coordinator for the Weyerhaeuser Center for Christian Faith and Learning. She earned her bachelor's degree in Organizational Management in May 2004.
