Faculty Workshop on Student Career Planning
A one-day interactive workshop, co-sponsored by the Murdock "Lives
of Commitment" Grant, helps faculty develop skills in guiding students
with career planning. Faculty leave with concrete tools to help students
understand career options, make sound internship choices, and develop
networks and job search strategies, as well as support alumni in job
transitions. Faculty receive a $200 stipend.
Faculty Development Day
Each year, Whitworth faculty gather during the fall and spring semesters
to hear speakers, participate in workshops and discuss their role as

Reading Groups
Groups of faculty and staff members meet over the course of a semester
to discuss readings related to vocation and spirituality. These readings
explore Reformed as well as other religious traditions' understanding

Lectures and Conferences
Annual lecture series and conferences centered around the topics of
faith and work are held on-campus and in conjunction with other organizations
in the Spokane area, including Gonzaga
University.
