Burton/Jump Athletic Training Book Scholarship ($500)

Criteria:

GPA: 3.0 or higher
Students will apply for the award in the year preceding their junior or senior year and must have attended Whitworth for at least one year.  Funds must be used for educational purposes (purchase of books).

Major Requirement: Student must be a major in athletic training; health, fitness and PE; or education

Financial need must be demonstrated as determined by the Whitworth Financial Aid Office.

Application Process
Students must complete the Whitworth scholarship application. In addition, students will complete a one- to two-page essay addressing the following questions: Why do you want to become an athletic trainer?  What are your long-term goals for your future as they relate to athletic training? Describe yourself and your professional attributes as they relate to the profession of athletic training.

The completed application and essay are to be submitted to the Whitworth Athletic Training Program director by May 1 of the applicant's sophomore or junior year.
