Test Requirements

Many engineers choose to become licensed professional engineers. The first step in becoming a licensed professional engineer is the Engineering in Training (EIT) test (also known as Fundamentals of Engineering), which varies from state to state and is usually taken upon completion of a bachelor’s degree. Preparation for this exam would take place at the partner institution because the license is granted by the state.
