| Material Safety Data Sheet |
In 1984, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration required all
manufacturers of chemical materials to develop and provide a material-safety data sheet to consumers. This is an action of the "Right to
Know" laws. This data sheet provides information regarding known health risks,
chemical reactivity, physical properties and safe handling practices.
MSDS information on any given chemical can be accessed online through the manufacturer
of that chemical. Paper copies are available at the following locations
in the Eric Johnston Science Center:
- Chemistry: Room 209
- Biology: Room 325
- Physics: Individual research labs
