• Grants are restricted accounts in which the funds can only be spent on the grant activity.
  
  
• All regular university business procedures apply to the spending of grant funds.
  
  
• All regular university hiring practices apply to hiring of personnel under grants.
  
  
• Payment requests must be forwarded to SPO and be approved prior to sending to the business office for payment.
