Colleges of Distinction Features Whitworth University as a Leader in Educational Excellence

Spokane, WA– As one of only five higher education institutions selected in the state of Washington, Whitworth University proudly announces its inclusion in the newly-released guidebook, the 2008-2009 edition of Colleges of Distinction. Unlike traditional college numerical ratings, this book recognizes and appeals to students' unique interests and honors colleges such as Whitworth University who excel in key areas of educational quality based upon the opinions of guidance counselors, educators, and admissions professionals.

In order to qualify, Whitworth University was required to demonstrate excellence in four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities, and successful outcomes.
