I really enjoy trying new restaurants and exploring new places downtown. There's also a great music scene in Spokane with an impressive variety of concerts and theatrical productions.

Zola - Great food and a fun atmosphere for just hanging out with friends and colleagues.

Favorite part about Whitworth:
I love our athletics! Not only do we have some of the nicest sports fields in our conference, but we have the best fans, as well. I love watching a football game in the Pine Bowl or cheering on our soccer teams among tons of other fans. I’m also very fond of the new coffeehouse "Mind & Hearth". They make a delicious mocha!

Advice for Whitworth applicants:
Timing is everything, and you can never be too far ahead of the game. Apply to college early, and tour as many college campuses as possible during the school year. I highly recommend that all students tour the campus, visit a class, and stay overnight with a current student before deciding on any college. It's so important to experience college life firsthand. Of course, don't forget to edit your application essays and make sure you include the correct college name in your essays. I can’t tell you how many essays I’ve read in which students have referred to a college other than Whitworth!

Free-for-all:
I dream of winning on "The Price is Right" someday. I am deathly afraid of seaweed. I've been skydiving over the North Shore of Hawaii and snorkeling at the Great Barrier reef in Australia. I love peppermint mochas. I love playing soccer. I definitely have the travel bug and a passion for new adventures. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I've been to five of the seven continents (all but South America and Antarctica, so far), and I just returned from a 2 week trip to Israel. I'm excited to start planning another adventure, maybe a trip to the Amazon! Favorite cities so far: Sydney, Australia, and Rome, Italy.
