Biography:

Hometown: Hawaii Kai, Hawaii
High School: Kamehameha
University: Whitworth '05

Phrases:
"BAAA!" – Jackson Williams
"We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give." – Winston Churchill
"We've been given our parts in the nativity play. And I'm the lobster!" – Daisy, from "Love Actually"
"Listening is the most Christ-like communication act." – Ron Pyle, Ph.D.

Heroes:
Peyton Manning. You can marry your heroes, right?
Curt Kekuna. Okay, yes, he is my daddy, but he is not only a wonderful human being; he's also a graduate of Whitworth, and a networking genius!

Favorite thing to do in Spokane: I love going to the many parks of Spokane – Friendship, Manito, Riverside, Riverfront, Comstock, Holmberg, Mission, etc., to play with my puppy, Peyton. I also love attending Hoopfest in the summer, ice skating in Riverfront Park in the winter (I have advanced to skating backward, and I will be working on my triple axel for next year), watching Whitworth sporting events (go, Bucs!), watching NFL football games with my co-workers in a variety of different hot spots in Spokane, and eating at RAW Sushi and Island Grill.

Favorite things about Whitworth: French-dip day in the HUB, the turkey pesto melt at The Café, Dr. Ron Pyle, our incredibly helpful tech department, and the admissions team.

Advice: Every piece of information you send in to a prospective college/university is a reflection of who you are, so make sure it is a positive reflection. Create a professional e-mail address to give to colleges, be confident about your skills and talents, and please edit your essays and have others edit them as well.

Free-for-all: I miss my home, but I love my job; I love the Broncos, but I am lukewarm about Jay Cutler; I love Peyton Manning, but I am lukewarm about the Colts; I like to dance to Britney Spears in my living room; I have two amazing sisters in California, two amazing parents in Hawaii (both Whitworth graduates), and a very large extended family. Clowns, nylons, and hairy spiders scare me a bit. I love sports, goats, food, warm weather, beaches, and monster-truck rallies. I also love to chat, so please introduce yourself!
