Favorites Classes at Whitworth: Latina Women Writers, Creative Non-Fiction Writing Workshop

Favorite activities in Spokane: Manito Park on the South Hill, Spokane Symphony at the Fox Theater and the Spokane Jazz Orchestra at the Met Theater (great student discounts!)

Favorite part about Whitworth: I love the residence hall experience (I lived on campus for three years!). All of the staff, both student and professional, genuinely care about students and build a strong sense of community. I also appreciate the connection with faculty. Professors challenge students to think critically and invest in them in and outside of the classroom.

Advice for Whitworth applicants: If you want to get a better feel for the Whitworth experience, schedule a visit to sit in on a few classes and stay overnight in a residence hall, either as an individual visit or one of our "Why Whitworth" Days.

Free-for-all: I wish life was a musical and people burst into harmonzied song at the most inane moments, like while filling up at the gas station. I adore floral patterns, though not grandmotherly ones. My favorite foods are blueberries and peanut butter (not together).
