Frequently Asked Questions about Summer Visits:
1. How do I request a summer visit?
- Please request a visit using the online visit request form.
This is our preferred mode of receiving visit requests since it includes helpful information and lists the different options available for each date.
- If you have questions about filling out the online request form, please call the campus visit coordinator at 800.533.4668, ext. 1.
2. What types of activities are offered as part of a summer visit?
- Campus tours
Each tour is led by a current student and will be about 75 minutes long. This is a walking tour, so please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
- Admissions presentations
Presentations include information about the admissions process and scholarship opportunities, as well as facts about the university, presented by a staff member from the Whitworth Admissions Office.
- Individual admissions appointments
An individual appointment with an admissions staff member is available if you have specific questions related to your admission to Whitworth. This appointment will be scheduled for after the presentation mentioned above.
This appointment is not an evaluative interview.
Because classes are not in session and faculty are on summer break, we are not able to accommodate any class visits or professor appointments during the summer.
3. My parents are coming with me. What activities can they participate in?
- Your parents or guardians are welcome to join you for the campus tour, presentation and appointments.
- Please visit the local accommodations page for a list of recommended hotels close to our campus. Most of these hotels offer a reduced rate if you let them know that you are visiting Whitworth.
We look forward to hosting you on campus soon!
