"Why Whitworth?" Days Campus Visit Program

1. What is the Why Whitworth? visit program?

• Why Whitworth? is a program offered on select dates throughout the fall and spring semesters. All prospective students and families visiting for each Why Whitworth? day will have the same schedule, which includes a campus tour, admissions presentation, class visit of your choice, student panel and lunch in the dining hall. We may also be able to accommodate special requests before or after the program for visitors who provide at least one week's advance notice.
• If you are interested in a more specialized schedule, we recommend that you schedule an individual visit. Please note: We are not able to accommodate individual visits on Why Whitworth? days.

2.  When are the Why Whitworth? days?

• We will be offering this visit program on the following dates for the 2011-12 academic year:

3. What is the schedule for a Why Whitworth? day?

• The program begins at 10 a.m. and ends at about 3 p.m. It includes a campus tour, an admissions presentation, a class visit of your choice, a student panel and lunch in the dining hall. We may also be able to accommodate special requests before or after the program for visitors who provide at least one week's advance notice. Please list such requests in the "Special Requests" box on the online registration form. 

4. How do I register for the Why Whitworth? program?

• Please register for this program using the online registration form.
• If you have any questions about filling out the online request form, please call the Campus Visit Coordinator at 800.533.4668, ext. 1.

5. My parents are coming with me. What activities can they participate in?

• Parents are welcome to join you for the entire program. While you are visiting a class, they are invited to attend a parent seminar. Lunch is included as part of this program for all guests.
• Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate parents overnight on campus. Please visit the local accommodations page for a list of recommended hotels close to our campus. Most of these hotels offer a reduced rate if you let them know that you are visiting Whitworth.

6. Do you provide shuttle transportation?

• We provide shuttle transportation to and from the Spokane International Airport and to/from the bus/train station for students travelling alone. If you require transportation, please include your flight/bus/train information on the visit request form.  We do require at least two weeks' notice for all transportation requests.
