The goal of the Whitworth Aquatics Center is to provide a safe environment for students, staff
and faculty and community to achieve their highest level of fitness through aquatic
activities.
The center is a beautiful 40-yard lap pool with a bulkhead dividing the deep and shallow ends.
This creates a large shallow end accessible by a ramp for entry. The moveable bulkhead provides
the freedom to adapt to either a 25-meter short course or 25-yard-course competition pool. The
pool temperature is maintained at 80-82 degrees during the varsity swim team season, which is
an ideal temperature for a workout facility. Our pool is available to the community for a variety of fitness, water-safety and learn-to-swim programs. For more additional on our programs, please
