This insurance is mandatory for all full-time domestic students and may
not be waived.
Medical Insurance
The premium for medical insurance is $240 per academic year.
The premium for international medical/accident
insurance is $659 per academic year (see below for further information
regarding all required insurances for international students).
The purpose of this insurance program is to provide coverage in excess
of any coverage that the student may already have. All full-time students
are required to have health insurance. If the student already has coverage,
the university-sponsored medical insurance may be waived by filling out the appropriate section of the Confirmation Billing
e-Packet. All waivers must be submitted to the Student Accounting Services Office prior
to the tenth day of classes (9/22/09 for fall semester and 2/15/10 for
spring semester). This waiver needs to be completed every year the student
attends Whitworth. If the student has no health insurance, coverage MAY
NOT be waived.
Please note: Students dropping from full time in fall semester to part time in spring semester will be dropped from the school's insurance coverage and no refund will be given.
