Update from the Provost & Executive Vice President Search Committee

Dear colleagues,

We are happy to report good progress on the search for Whitworth's next provost and executive vice president. The search committee met again this morning to narrow the search pool once more based on extensive reference checks. In early January, the committee will interview a number of highly qualified candidates in face-to-face interviews at an off-campus location. The committee remains confident that the remaining pool of candidates is very strong and that our next chief academic officer is among those remaining in the process.

Based on the results of the interviews in January, the committee plans to invite finalists to campus to meet with the community in February.

The committee thanks you for your prayers and for the many ways you have communicated with the committee about the opportunities for leadership and the desired characteristics of this important leader. Please continue to pray for the search process, for each of the committee members, and for our applicants.
