Designated Gift Priorities: Scholarship Endowment
Whitworth is consistently ranked a best value among regional universities in the West, but the university competes for students against institutions that are publicly funded and have much larger endowments. A major segment of the Whitworth budget is committed to financial aid, with more than 95 percent of students receiving some sort of assistance. Increased scholarship endowment would provide needed budget relief and flexibility and would also help ensure that an education of mind and heart remains affordable for students from all socio-economic backgrounds.
