1990 George Pappas has lived in Alaska for the past 16 years. He works for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game as a fisheries biologist, and has ventured into the Alaskan bush and out to sea on commercial fishing vessels. Over the years he has survived boat sinkings, fires, blizzards, a plane crash, and bear and moose attacks.
Brian Sachse married Kathy McCallum on Nov. 3, 2004. The Sachses make their home in Spokane, where Brian is a teacher and coach at Ferris High School and Kathy is a pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church.

1991 Jeffrey Stevenson is living on the McKenzie River in Blue River, Ore. He is the president of Fehu Enterprises, which opened its first Taco Del Mar restaurant in Eugene, Ore., in August.

1992 John Hoffmann, his wife, Traci, and their five children have relocated from Fremont, Calif., to Austin, Texas.
Katherine (Worthington) Haworth, her husband, Michael, and their three-year-old son, Ethan, live in Italy, where Katherine is working for the U.S. Air Force as an education specialist and Michael is an elementary-school teacher.

1993 Diana (Van Buren) Lantz lives in Twentynine Palms, Calif., where she serves as a chaplain with Combat Service Support Battalion-7, United States Marine Corps.
Carrie Ann Lucas lives in Denver, Colo., and is program director of the Center for Rights of Parents with Disabilities, at the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition. Lucas was recently awarded an Equal Justice Works Fellowship to provide legal services to parents with disabilities. Ryan Leonard recently ran on the Republican ticket for the Washington State House of Representatives from Spokane's 3rd legislative district. Although he lost to Democrat Timm Ormsby, he did pull down 41 percent of the vote. Angela Grinnell married Andy Saxe on Jan. 3, 2004. The couple just finished building a home on Washington's Orcas Island. Keith Knowles works for Avenue A Razorfish, in Portland, Ore. Sacha Davis graduated from the University of Washington School of Nursing with a B.S. degree in nursing. She plans to work in the geriatrics/palliative-care unit at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center.

1994 Staci Abrams married Beau Abdulla in 2001. They joined the Peace Corps in 2002 and now live in Houston, Texas. Both work as coaches at the junior-high level.
Tucker Richardson lives in Fairfield, Calif. Ann Marie Brueggemeier married Kevin Benson, '00, on Aug. 20 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in Spokane. Whitworthians in the wedding party included Tad Wisenor, '89, Bryan Stanfill, '95, Ben Brueggemeier, '97, Dmitry Ischenko, '00, and Kimberly Benson, '05.

1995 Kristi Lonheim and her husband, Jonathan Acker, are in Amman, Jordan, where Jonathan teaches music at the American Community School.
Brooke Lippy is the assistant head of the music library at the University of Hartford, in Connecticut. Sara Revell joined the U.S. State Department in May 2004 and was posted to Accra, Ghana, where she is a consular officer.

1996 Anjel and Delma (Craig) Luna moved to Yuma, Ariz., where Anjel is a professor of art at Arizona Western College and Delma is a financial consultant for the Yuma Investment Group.
Heather (Simon) and Benjamin Horst live in Farmington, N.M., where Benjamin is in commercial flight training. Christine Ingersol bought an old Victorian house in the Spokane area and is currently taking certification courses to become a foster mother to children with special needs. Nathan and Jonna (Glenn, '98) Dunham live in Mt. Vernon, Wash. Nate teaches eighth grade and coaches basketball at Stanwood Middle School, and Jonna teaches sixth grade, coaches volleyball and track, and serves as a technology mentor in Anacortes. Stephanie Clark teaches high-school choir at Sequim High School, in Sequim, Wash. She also sings with the Sequim Community Church contemporary worship team on Sundays. Michelle Sanders lives near Yosemite Park, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, where she works at Calvin Crest, a Presbyterian camp and conference center.

1997 Kristopher Vegas married Ana Montes in July 2004. They live in Honolulu, Hawaii, where they are working on doctoral degrees in educational psychology.
Karen (Ellison) Andrues and her husband, Richard, recently moved into their new home in Tucson, Ariz., where Karen is a registered nurse at Oro Valley Medical Center. Paul Dirocco lives in San Francisco, Calif. Ryan Hawk and his wife, Heather (Porter, '99), have returned to Seattle after living in Santa Barbara, Calif., for the past three years. Ryan is the staff photographer for the Woodland Park Zoo and also does freelance work. Heather is a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive-care unit at Seattle Children's Hospital. Susan Kohler is working on her LPC license. Annemarie (Eklund) Russell received her master's degree in English literature from the University of Oregon and teaches part time at Oregon City High School, outside of Portland. Joe Helbling is the advanced-learning teacher at Sorenson Elementary School, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Tony Billingsley and his wife, Kara (Hartle), have moved to Walla Walla, Wash., with their two little girls, Talia and Stella. Billingsley is an emergency-room doctor. Alan Stanfield married Brenna Robinson, '00, on June 26. They live in Spokane, where Alan is coaching football at Whitworth while finishing his administration credentials through the School of Education, and Brenna is working in the admissions office and interning in the chapel. The couple plans to return to Princeton, N.J., in the summer of 2006 so that Brenna can finish her work at Princeton Theological Seminary. Michael De Hoog married Jennifer Edwards on Aug. 13 in Moses Lake, Wash. Tayt Knowles, '96, was a groomsman at the wedding. De Hoog is the activities-center director and head volleyball coach at Big Bend Community College, in Moses Lake. Becky Olson married Jeff Brinkman on July 1 in Spokane. They live in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Becky is a student at Christ Hospital School of Nursing and Jeff is a youth pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church.

1998 Kate Horak is working on her master's degree in historic preservation at the University of Southern California.
Heather (Eiffert) Sund received her master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Fuller Seminary and has begun a counseling practice in Seattle's Green Lake district. Ruth (Kaluza) Eichholtz is a teacher at the International School of Stuttgart (ISS) in Germany. Aaron Russell recently finished the first year of his doctoral program in counseling psychology at George Fox University, in Newberg, Ore. Rebecca (Uejio) Schmidt received her master's degree in education from California State University, Stanislaus, in May. Liona Tannesen married Michael Burnham on July 15; the couple honeymooned in Thailand. After receiving her master's degree in English in 2004, Tannesen began teaching English in Seattle-Tacoma-area community colleges. Erik Olson lives in the Seattle area, where he is a police officer. Kasee Hildenbrand studied the effectiveness of abdominal exercise machines versus traditional sit-ups for her master of science degree in kinesiology from Kansas State University. Her findings were published in The Journal of Athletic Training in March 2004 and recently appeared in the health section of The New York Times. Heather Stark completed her master's degree in physician-assistant studies at the University of Saint Francis, in Indiana. Elizabeth Marie Vernon recently returned to the U.S. after spending two years with the Peace Corps in Bulgaria.

1999 Nicole Bealey married John Grubbs on Jan. 8.
Emily (Dent) Vanderipe served as matron of honor. The Grubbs are living in Lynwood, Wash. Sarah (Dingman) Bungum works at the University of Oregon as the assistant to two directors of development. She and her husband, Peter, are renovating the home they bought in 2004. Karina Boslet just finished her fourth year as a resident director at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif. Janet Worley joined Spokane's Shriners Hospital for Children as a nurse practitioner. Jeremy Wynne received his M.Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in May.
