2000 Monica (Sorenson) Ernsberger and her husband, Patrick, are stationed in Ohio, where Pat is in the U.S. Air Force. Katelyn Allers received her Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2005. She is now working as an astronomer at the University of Hawaii, in Honolulu. Karla (Folkins) Parbon lives in Spokane with her husband Josh, '99, and their two boys, Jace and Kade. She coaches Gonzaga Prep's dance team and is doing the choreography for the school's annual spring play.
2001 Laura Louise Doughty is in her second year of teaching high-school science at an inner-city school in Las Vegas. Rachael Gregory married Daniel Crosby on Nov. 20, 2004, and is currently working on her master's degree in school psychology at Eastern Washington University, in Cheney. Patrick Plumb lives in Tonasket, Wash., where he works at North Valley Hospital. A member of the Tonasket City Council and a former member of the Tonasket School Board, he also served recently as chair of the Seventh District Republican Committee. Mary Alice (Finley) Carlson is a substitute teacher in Lincoln, Neb. Yakov Fedchun is the director of programming and search-engine optimization for the online development company Bsolid.com, located in Tri-Cities, Wash.
2002 Dana Caraway is in her final year at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, N.J. Andrew Garretson lives in San Diego, where he works as an extra in television productions. Stephanie (Stern) Carlson and her husband, Ben, live in Vancouver, Wash.; she works for the Shane Co., in Beaverton, Ore. Melissa Butler graduated from the Chicago Medical School in June 2005 and now works in child and adult neurology as a physician assistant in Colorado. J.P. Carlson completed his M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary and is an associate pastor at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, in Lincoln, Neb. Michael and Jessica (Hart) Hoch moved to Newhall, Calif., where Michael attends Master's Seminary and Jessica is a registered nurse at a local hospital.
2003 Katie Converse married Jason Ihde on July 2, in Cannon Beach, Ore. Maren Anderson is currently attending law school at the University of Washington. Cynthia Kirkman married Todd Romoff on Nov. 26 in Spokane. The Rev. Mark McIlraith, '92, officiated at the wedding and music was provided by Professor Emeritus of Music Thomas Tavener and Associate Professor of Music Brent Edstrom. The Romoffs are making their home in Firestone, Colo. Jeremy Groefsema is in the final stages of flight school at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. Matthew Cole, Jr., married Shawdra Parker in August. Rochelle Hinman attends Utah Southwestern University, where she is working on her Ph.D. in immunology.
2004 Blinn Carstensen married Addie Lust on Sept. 10. They are making their home in Spokane, where Blinn is a credit officer at Northwest Farm Credit Services, and Addie is a portfolio management executive assistant at Sterling Savings Bank. Alyssa Neel married Bryan Agee in June. She is currently working and taking classes at Eastern Washington University, in Cheney. Leslie Nelson married Ryan Morrison, '05, on June 18. Tami Turner-Keyser teaches low-income students in eastern North Carolina as part of the Teach America program. Aimee Goodwin ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., in October 2005. Nelson LaPlante is currently attending San Diego State University, where he is pursuing his master's degree in economics. Kate Higgins published an article, "Boot Camp Basics to Dating U.S. Servicemen," in Citizen Culture magazine. She is a program coordinator with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Washington Chapter, in Seattle. Lee and Kenna (Klempel, '05) Stoops were married in August. They live in Everett, Wash., and work for CRISTA Ministries, broadcasting for SPIRIT, a Christian radio station. Lee works in promotions and sales and marketing and Kenna is in community relations. Tara Eaton recently returned from a year in Mexico, where she served at a Christian orphanage. Nicole Bowman is living in Sydney, Australia, where she is working on her master's degree in international communications.
2005 Rebecca Fisher teaches sixth grade at a low-income school in Chicago. Ashly Clarizio married Scott Tarbutton on Aug. 27. The Tarbuttons are making their home in Spokane, where Ashly works as a staff accountant at American West Bank and Scott is a chemist at North Creek Analytical. Marco Tulluck featured his acrylic and mixed-media paintings and drawings in an exhibit entitled Inner Darkness at the Infohazard Gallery, in Seattle.
