Against the backdrop of the Back 40 and a panorama of Spokane's north side, Whitworth's Ernst F. Lied Center for the Visual Arts takes shape. The university's newest building is on schedule for its projected opening date of September 2008, and will reflect in bricks and mortar Whitworth's commitment to the centrality of artistic exploration and expression in a comprehensive liberal-arts education.
