Whitworth political science major Barb Liggett, '10, poses with Sen. Hillary Clinton during the Democratic presidential candidate's visit to Spokane on Feb. 8. Clinton held a town-hall meeting at the West Central Community Center, while Michelle Obama, wife of Sen. Barack Obama, held a "Rally for Change" at the Fox Theatre, downtown. Liggett was able to speak to Clinton in the overflow building, where more than 25 Whitworth students were gathered. Clinton posed for pictures and encouraged the students' interest in politics and the Constitution.
